The long established Casual Affair Cabaret Show Band
has proved to be an outstanding success, winning many awards in
the principality of Wales.One of their notable achievements was their appearance on a series of HTV Television programmes under the banner of "Friday Night Live." On this talent show Ian Griffin (left) was the musical director and was involved with the auditions of many singers from Wales - the land of song. The winner was chosen by a panel of national celebrities including Hughie Green of "Opportunity Knocks" fame. |
![]() The music of Casual Affair revolves around Ian Griffin, who received a British Keyboard Player Award for giving the most pleasure at live performances in 2006. Since the band's formation, many singers have had the privilege of appearing with them, leading to one young lady appearing in the chorus line in a show at the London Palladium. The latest addition to the band is singer, Jo St.Claire, (right) who is so enthusiastic that she even has her own web site on which you can hear her sing. |
![]() Lenny Dee is an award winning comedian who has 'warmed up' audiences at many television shows. He fronts Casual Affair, sings and is the bass player. Lenny is also the band's 'fixer' and has arranged for them to appear at many prestigious events, including, The Swansea Grand Theatre, The Royal Welsh Show and BBC outside broadcasts. ![]() Rob Gillespie, the singing drummer, has had a long standing involvement with Casual Affair, which has made him very popular with audiences all over Wales, and the occasional booking across the border. Rob's rhythms get the feet tapping - even if you don't want to dance. |
